Kilismile Trails and Safaris was founded in 2011 by Hamad Gao, whose journey in tourism began on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Hamad started his career as a Kilimanjaro porter, supporting climbers and learning firsthand what it takes to reach the summit of Africa’s highest mountain.
Through years of dedication and experience, he progressed from porter to professional mountain guide, gaining deep knowledge of Kilimanjaro’s routes, weather, and the challenges climbers face. His passion for the mountain and desire to share Tanzania’s beauty with the world inspired him to create Kilismile Trails and Safaris.
What began as a small guiding operation has grown into a trusted local tour company specializing in Kilimanjaro climbing expeditions and Tanzania wildlife safaris. Today, Kilismile works with a team of experienced guides, porters, chefs, and safari experts who are committed to providing safe, professional, and unforgettable travel experiences.
