Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all tours booked with Kilismile Trails and Safaris based in Moshi, Tanzania.

By booking a tour with Kilismile Trails, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. They form the agreement between you and Kilismile Trails.

If one person makes a booking on behalf of a group, that person accepts these Terms and Conditions for all travelers in the booking, including children and individuals with special needs. They will also be the main contact person for the group.

BOOKING & PAYMENT TERMS

  • All bookings must be confirmed in writing.
  • A 20% deposit is required to secure your reservation.
  • The remaining balance is payable upon arrival in Tanzania.
  • All payments must be made without bank charges so that the full amount is received by Kilismile Trails.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation by the Client

  • More than 30 days before arrival: cancellation terms depend on confirmed services and supplier policies.
  • 0–30 days before arrival: cancellation may result in partial or full charges.

Cancellation by Kilismile Trails and Safaris

  • Kilismile Trails and Safaris reserves the right to cancel a trip due to force majeure, safety concerns, failure of the client to comply with payment terms, or insufficient participants for group tours. In such cases, reasonable alternatives or refunds will be offered where possible.
 

VISA REQUIREMENTS

All travelers to Tanzania must have a valid visa. We recommend applying in advance, although visas can also be obtained upon arrival at the airport.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

  • Guests should inform us of any medical conditions when booking.
  • Each traveler is responsible for ensuring they are fit for the tour.
  • We recommend consulting a doctor before travel.
  • Kilismile Trails and Safaris does not provide medical advice but encourages proper health preparation, including vaccinations.

CLIMATE

Tanzania generally has a warm climate:

  • December to March: Hot and humid
  • April to May: Rainy season
  • June to October: Cool and dry
  • November: Short rains
    Temperatures usually range between 25°C and 35°C.

Our guides can take you to trusted shops and local markets. We are happy to assist you during shopping at no extra cost to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

We do our best to meet special requests such as dietary needs or accommodation preferences. Please inform us in advance when booking.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Kilismile Trails and Safaris works with trusted partners such as hotels, airlines, and guides. While we carefully select them, we are not responsible for their actions or services. Their own terms and conditions will apply.

LIABILITY

Kilismile Trails and Safaris acts as an organizer and agent for services such as transport and accommodation. We are not responsible for delays, injuries, accidents, or changes caused by circumstances beyond our control or client negligence.

We also advise travelers to take precautions against malaria and consult a healthcare professional before travel.

FORCE MAJEURE

Kilismile Trails and Safaris is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, bad weather, political unrest, or other unexpected situations.

INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all travelers have comprehensive travel insurance covering health, accidents, and trip cancellations.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes will be handled by Tanzanian courts.
