Here, thousands of wildebeest and zebras risk their lives crossing crocodile-filled waters in search of fresh grazing. This natural event is unpredictable, making every moment exciting and unique.

You will also explore Central Serengeti, known for its high concentration of predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The safari continues to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa, including the chance to see the rare black rhino.

Your final day takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and lush green environment—offering a different experience from the open plains of Serengeti.

Throughout the safari, you will travel in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle with an experienced local guide who knows the best areas for wildlife viewing. You will stay in carefully selected camps and lodges that provide comfort while keeping you close to nature.

Dinner and overnight at your camp Overnight: Tanzania Bush Camp or Olmorijo Camp

Today is the highlight of your safari, focusing on the Great Migration river crossing in Serengeti. After an early breakfast, you will head out for a full-day game drive in the northern part of Serengeti National Park, near the famous Mara River.

This area is the main stage for the Great Migration between July and October, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather along the riverbanks. You may witness the dramatic moment when the herds suddenly rush into the water, crossing together while facing strong currents and crocodiles. These crossings are unpredictable, so your guide will position you in the best locations and stay alert for any movement.

Throughout the day, you will follow the migration and explore different crossing points, giving you the best possible chance to see the action. Even when crossings are not happening, the area is rich with wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and many bird species.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the sounds of nature and wide open views of the savannah.

In the late afternoon, continue with your game drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight. This full day offers unforgettable moments and some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa.

Overnight: Tanzania Bush Camp or Olmorijo Camp

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the north before starting your journey back to Central Serengeti.

The drive offers more wildlife viewing across the endless plains. You may spot large herds, predators, and beautiful landscapes along the way.

Arrive at your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight at Conserve Serengeti Camp or Friends Camp

Start your day early with a sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park, one of the best times to see predators in action. Lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are often active in the cool morning hours, while the plains are full of grazing animals such as wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes.

After the game drive, return to camp for breakfast and then begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will enjoy more wildlife viewing and scenic landscapes as you leave the open plains of Serengeti and enter the highlands.

Upon arrival, descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most unique natural wonders. The crater floor is home to a high concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places to see animals in a short time. During your game drive, you may spot lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, and, with some luck, the rare black rhino.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater, often near a hippo pool, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

In the afternoon, ascend the crater and continue your drive to Karatu, a peaceful town located just outside the conservation area. Arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight, as you relax after an incredible day of wildlife and landscapes.

Overnight: Karatu

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive.

This park is known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and rich birdlife. You will also see elephants, hippos, monkeys, and lush forest scenery, which is very different from Serengeti.

After the game drive, return to arusha for your departure or onward travel.
