Your adventure begins with a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its lush forests, large troops of baboons, flamingos along the lake shore, and the unique tree-climbing lions. From there, the safari continues to the legendary Serengeti National Park, known for its endless plains and remarkable wildlife viewing. Here you will enjoy exciting game drives in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other animals. For an even more memorable experience, you may also choose to take an optional hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti plains at sunrise.

During the journey, you will also visit the historic Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, often referred to as the “Cradle of Mankind.” The safari then continues to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five. The crater floor is home to thousands of animals, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, and large flocks of flamingos around the soda lakes.

To complete the experience, you will enjoy a cultural visit with the Iraqw community, where you can learn about their traditions and way of life, followed by a scenic nature walk in the surrounding highlands. Your incredible safari adventure concludes with a return to Arusha or a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.

Plan Day By Day

Arrival Date

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you directly to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi for check-in and relaxation after your journey. The transfer takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic.

After breakfast, you will depart from Moshi and begin your journey toward Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes, local villages, and agricultural areas, offering a glimpse of everyday life in northern Tanzania.

Upon arrival at the park, you will start your game drive through the lush groundwater forest and open savannah areas. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its diverse wildlife and is one of the best places in Tanzania to see large troops of baboons. The park is also known for its unique tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and hippos.

The park is a paradise for bird lovers, with hundreds of bird species including flamingos, pelicans, and storks often seen along the shores of the lake. Around midday, you will stop at a picnic site to enjoy your lunch while surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery.

After lunch, you will continue with the afternoon game drive, exploring more areas of the park and searching for wildlife. Later in the afternoon, you will leave the park and head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Overnight at Karatu

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti national park

After an early breakfast, you will spend a full day exploring the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. The Serengeti is known for its endless savannah, incredible wildlife populations, and the spectacular Great Migration.

Your day will be dedicated to exciting game drives across different areas of the park in search of a wide variety of animals. During the safari, you may have the chance to see lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many species of antelope. The Serengeti is also home to numerous predators, making it one of the best places in Africa to observe wildlife interactions in their natural habitat.

Around midday, you will stop at a scenic picnic site inside the park to enjoy your lunch while surrounded by the beauty of the Serengeti landscape. After lunch, the game drive continues as you explore more areas of the park and search for additional wildlife.

For those interested, an optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged early in the morning before the game drive begins. This unique experience allows you to float above the Serengeti plains at sunrise and witness wildlife from a breathtaking aerial perspective.

In the late afternoon, you will return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay in the Serengeti.

After breakfast, you will depart from Serengeti National Park and begin your journey toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. On your way out of the Serengeti, you will enjoy a final morning game drive across the vast plains, offering more opportunities to spot wildlife such as lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.

As you continue the drive, you will pass through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, known for its beautiful highlands and unique ecosystem where wildlife and local communities coexist. Along the way, you may see Maasai herders with their cattle and traditional villages scattered across the plains.

Around midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch while enjoying the surrounding scenery. After lunch, the journey continues toward the Ngorongoro highlands where you will arrive at your lodge located near the rim of the crater.

In the late afternoon, you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro landscape while preparing for the next day’s game drive inside the crater. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge in the Ngorongoro area.

After breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich parks. Tarangire is well known for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife.

Upon arrival, you will begin your game drive across the park’s vast savannah landscapes. During the safari, you may see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and many species of antelope. The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, attracts a large number of animals especially during the dry season.

Around midday, you will stop at a picnic site inside the park to enjoy your lunch while surrounded by the natural beauty of the park. After lunch, the game drive continues as you explore more areas and search for wildlife.

In the afternoon, you will leave the park and drive back to Arusha, where your safari adventure comes to an end.
