Plan Day By Day

Arrival Date

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you directly to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi for check-in and relaxation after your journey. The transfer takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic.

After a breakfast, your drive will be at your hotel ready to take approximate 2- 3:30hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Giant baobab trees, bush savannah and the seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve. The Tarangire National Park is considered as one of the best places to view elephants up close. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. In the evening you reach your lodge outside the park.

Dinner and overnight at Karatu

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti national park

After breakfast, you will begin the day with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, exploring the vast plains and searching for wildlife. The Serengeti is home to a wide variety of animals including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many species of antelope. Your guide will take you through different areas of the park to maximize your chances of seeing wildlife in their natural habitat.

Around midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch while still enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Serengeti. After lunch, you will continue with a short game drive as you make your way toward the park exit.

In the early afternoon, you will leave Serengeti National Park and begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you may see traditional Maasai villages (bomas), where the Maasai people live and maintain their unique culture and traditional way of life.

Upon arrival in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will head to your lodge located on the rim of the famous Ngorongoro Crater. From the lodge, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the crater and the surrounding highlands. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge on the crater rim.

After breakfast, you will drive to the entrance of the Ngorongoro Crater and begin descending about 600 meters down to the crater floor for an exciting game drive. This magnificent natural wonder is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife.

The crater supports more than 25,000 animals, offering excellent opportunities to see a wide variety of species. During the game drive, you may spot the famous Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Other animals commonly seen in the crater include zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, spotted hyenas, warthogs, and hippos. The area is also rich in birdlife, with more than 500 bird species recorded in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Around midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo pool while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the crater. After lunch, the game drive will continue for a short time as you explore more areas of the crater floor.

In the late afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha or Moshi, where your safari adventure will come to an end.

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will have some time to relax before your scheduled transfer. Depending on your flight schedule, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight home.

If you plan to continue your journey to another destination within Tanzania, our team can also arrange additional transfers or tours from Arusha.  We hope to welcome you again for another adventure in Tanzania. ✨
